Colored Stone Metal Tile

Colored stone metal tiles are a type of roofing material that bonds natural colored stone granules with an aluminum-zinc-coated steel plate. They resemble traditional clay tiles or slate tiles in appearance but weigh only about one-tenth of the latter, approximately 8–12 kilograms per square meter, making transportation and handling very labor-saving.

Their base plate is made of aluminum-zinc-coated steel containing 55% aluminum, 43% zinc, and a small amount of silicon, offering resistance to salt spray, acids, and alkalis, with a typical lifespan of 40 to 50 years. The steel surface is first coated with an anti-fingerprint film, then covered with an acrylic resin layer, and finally firmly bonded with colored basalt sand granules sintered at temperatures above 800°C. This layer of granules not only serves a decorative purpose but also provides thermal insulation, noise reduction, and UV protection, with colors remaining fade-resistant for over a decade.

Due to their lightweight nature, colored stone metal tiles can be directly laid on wooden purlins, light steel frames, or existing roofs without requiring additional structural reinforcement. They are resistant to overall slippage during typhoons or earthquakes. During installation, specialized tile nails are used for dry fixation, and a skilled worker can complete a 100-square-meter roof in less than two days. They require minimal maintenance afterward, and in case of localized damage, individual tiles can be replaced.

There is a wide variety of colors and tile profiles to choose from: over ten styles, such as seven-wave, eight-wave, beveled edge, small Roman, large Roman, wood grain, and grid patterns, as well as more than ten colors, including terracotta red, ocean blue, graphite black, and forest green. Customization is also available based on project requirements. They are suitable for European-style villas, Chinese courtyard houses, as well as antique-themed commercial streets in scenic areas, schools, hospitals, airport terminals, and even rural flat-to-pitched roof renovations and industrial warehouses. After complete demolition, the metal components can be recycled and reused, aligning with the environmental requirements of green building standards.
